Terms & Conditions

Responsibilities

• The hirer accepts that the vehicle of choice has been delivered to them in good working condition. It must be returned to Markabathi in the same condition (including all accessories) after the rental period.

• Markabathi reserves the right to recall a vehicle at any time if the hirer violates any terms and conditions.

• Markabathi shall not be accountable for any loss of goods.

• Markabathi reserves the right to modify its terms and conditions without prior notice.

Geographical Limits

• Vehicles rented from Markabathi may only be driven within the geographical boundaries of the United Arab Emirates.

Mileage Allowance

• Daily/Weekly Rentals: 200 KM per day. Exceeding this will incur a charge of AED 0.50/KM.

• Monthly Rentals: 4500 KM per month. Exceeding this will incur a charge of AED 0.50/KM.

Fuel Policy

• The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as when rented. Charges may apply for significantly lower fuel levels.

Damage

• The hirer must ensure the tires are properly inflated, and the vehicle is clean and undamaged.

• The hirer is liable for all repair costs during the rental period and must not use third-party repair services without prior approval.

• In case of damage or accidents, the hirer must call the Police (999) and Markabathi at contact@markabathi.comand obtain a police report.

Rental Period & Return Policy

• Rental charges are on a 24-hour basis, with a 2-hour grace period for returns. Delays beyond this will incur a full day's charge.

• Latest check-in time is 6:00 PM. No check-ins are allowed on Fridays or Public Holidays.

• Pickup service in Dubai requires 4-hour prior notice; other Emirates require 24-hour notice.

Payments & Other Charges

• Security Deposit: AED 1500 or as per vehicle category. Refunds will be processed 30 calendar days after check-in to account for fines or charges.

• Salik Charges: AED 5 per crossing (subject to change).

• Fines: Hirer is responsible for all fines, with an additional AED 20 acknowledgment fee and 10% service charge.

• 5% VAT is applicable on service charges.

Service/Maintenance

• Rental fees include the first servicing at 1000 KM; subsequent servicing is required every 10,000 KM.

• Hirer must inform Markabathi 2 days before servicing. Any damage due to missed servicing will be the hirer’s responsibility.

Insurance

• Vehicles are insured for paved roads in the UAE. Additional charges apply for total loss or damages without a police report.

Legal Issues

• Minimum hirer age: 22 years (partial insurance coverage for ages 22–25).

• Hirers are liable for impounding charges, parking fines, or lost keys.
